Over the past few days, the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the capital’s districts conducted extensive field visits with local authorities, industry and trade offices, and community committees to monitor and control the prices of basic commodities and foodstuffs. This was in response to the significant improvement in the exchange rate of foreign currencies against the local currency.
The directives emphasized the need for close cooperation between all relevant parties to ensure that merchants adhere to fair prices that reflect recent economic changes and to protect consumers from any manipulation or exploitation.
