Major General Ben Brik reviews the activities of Yafea Heritage Foundation

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, met this morning in his office at the headquarters of the National Assembly, Dr. Nada Faisal Qasim Al Mahrrami, President of Yafea Heritage Foundation.

At the meeting, Major General Bin Brik welcomed Dr. Nada Al Mahrrami, and got briefed by her on the Foundation’s objectives and activities in preserving, collecting and documenting the historical heritage of Yafea, as well as preserving, protecting and restoring historical monuments, and highlighting the attempts at distortion, obliteration and sabotage.

The meeting also focused on ways to support the Foundation to be able to advance its societal tasks, especially since the Foundation lacks some capabilities that would enable it to expand its activities.

Major General Bin Brik praised the Foundation’s societal role despite the scarcity of capabilities it is going through, and the efforts made by the Foundation in preserving the heritage and historical monuments of Yafea, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council cares about the heritage and historical monuments in the governorates of the South in general, calling on everyone to actively contribute and work hard to highlighting the Foundation’s work and its role in preserving antiquities and historical monuments and protecting them from any blurring and distortion
