Major General Bin Brik affirms that what people of the south are suffering from today is only a way to a better future

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Saturday, with representatives of civil society organizations in the Coordinating Council in Hadramout governorate.

In the meeting, which was attended by Raed Mohammed Bajaber, the head of the Coordinating Council in Hadramout, and his deputy, Dr. Salma Bazra’, deputy head of the Health Committee in the National Assembly, Major General Bin Brik praised the voluntary role of civil society organizations in the Coordinating Council, each in its field of work within the framework of the Hadramout coast, in which the purpose of establishing these associations is to contribute with society and the state by involving the segments that the associations represent within the governorate.

During the meeting, Major General Ahmed Saeed stressed the need for self-reliance in searching for plans and projects to be funded by state institutions, charitable institutions, and businessmen, noting, “You, as civil society organizations, have sufficient awareness and a high ability to implement the ideas and plans that are put forward, Stressing that every segment of society suffers from the means of living in dignity.

The Vice-President of the Transitional Council urged the need for Hadramout governorate to be a model for the rest of the governorates in charitable work, the work of associations and initiatives, by lifting injustice against the existing segments of society.

Major General Bin Brik indicated that the work of the associations should not be confined to charitable work, but rather include awareness-raising work, such as awareness of the dangers of drugs and carrying weapons, and ways to ensure how to eliminate these phenomena that have spread significantly during the past years and reflected their shadows on community life, in addition to holding handicraft and craft exhibitions to display and promote products and to show the activities of the Coordinator, through the media, which must play its role in a positive and educational way.

For their part, the attendees thanked Major General Bin Brik for his good hosting, presenting to him a number of issues and problems that civil society organizations suffer from in the Coordinating Council in Hadramout governorate, and how to solve them so that they can carry out their activities smoothly.

At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik presented to the attendees a quick overview of the general situation and what our people are going through during this difficult period of suffering that has exhausted their shoulders, stressing that what the people of the south are suffering today is only a way to a better future.

Bin Brik also touched on the successes achieved by the Southern Transitional Council at home and abroad, which caused pain to the enemy.

At the end of the meeting, Raed Mohammed Bajaber, Chairman of the Coordinating Council, handed a shield of appreciation to Major General Bin Brik, for his efforts and support for the success of the Coordination Council in serving civil society in Hadramout governorate.
