Major General Bin Brik and Dr. Al-Khubaji discuss with Head of Transitional Executive in Shabwa latest developments in the governorate

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, and Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, member of the Presidency of the Council, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, met on Sunday, with Brigadier Ali Ahmed Al-Jabwani, Head of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Shabwa governorate.

The meeting included Advocate Niran Sooki, Vice Chairman of the Assembly, Member of the Presidency, in which Major General Bin Brik and Dr. Al-Khubaji, listened from Brigadier General Al-Jabwani, to a brief on the current situation in Shabwa governorate and the challenges facing the work of the local leadership of the Council there.

The meeting also discussed the suffering of the people of Shabwa as a result of the abuses practiced by the Brotherhood’s militias against the people of the governorate and the dangers that Shabwa faces in general, and the societal movement rejecting those schemes implemented by Brotherhood leaders and their militias in the governorate, and ways to enhance national cohesion among all spectrums of society.

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik praised the efforts of the executive body in leading the Council in Shabwa governorate and the successes achieved in order to enhance its work activity and include everyone under the umbrella of the Southern Transitional Council, stressing that Shabwa governorate has a great importance to the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council and all its bodies.

The Chairman of the National Assembly stressed the importance of strengthening the joint work between the committees of the National Assembly and the executive body of the local leadership in the governorate, and finding ways to enhance its work activity within the framework of focusing on basic and urgent services directly related to the lives of citizens.
