Major General Bin Brik and Governor Bin Madi Discuss Efforts to Unify Hadrami Ranks Stressing Importance of Preserving Security and Accomplished Gains

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, and Sheikh Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madi, Governor of Hadramout, discussed the situation in the governorate in Mukalla and ways to unify efforts to support the enhancement of security, stability, and development.
Major General Bin Brik and Governor Bin Madi emphasized the importance of preserving Hadramout’s security and stability, protecting it from the dangers of slipping into chaos, and preserving its model status amid the difficult circumstances facing the country.
The two sides emphasized the need to preserve the national gains achieved in Hadramout since 2016 in the security, military, service, and development sectors, and to draw lessons from the battle to liberate the cities of Hadramout’s coast, especially as the ninth anniversary of its liberation from the grip of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda approaches.
Bin Brik and Bin Madi called on all Hadramis to rally around the supreme interests of Hadramout and strengthen the Hadrami Elite Forces to confront the threats facing Hadramout and its people.
The importance of highlighting the role of Hadrami unity in liberating the Hadrami coast from al-Qaeda was emphasized. On April 24, 2016, Hadramout rose up as a whole, and the Hadrami Elite Forces were formed from every Hadrami household, with popular support and support from our brothers in the Arab Coalition. This led to the liberation of the coast from al-Qaeda elements. They affirmed their commitment to continuing the sacrifices of the martyrs in preserving security and achieving national gains, most notably the Hadrami Elite Forces, and to continuing the process of construction, rejecting any attempts to weaken the Hadrami identity or undermine its security. Major General Ahmed bin Braik praised the efforts of the Governor of Hadhramaut, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council will continue its support for efforts to enhance security and development, as well as steps to strengthen the security and economic foundations that support Hadhramaut’s stability as the “beating heart of the South,” emphasizing the priority of internal solutions in confronting challenges.
For his part, Governor Bin Madhi congratulated Major General Bin Brik on his safe return from his medical trip, wishing him continued wellness and praising his national role in supporting Hadhramaut’s issues.
Governor Bin Madhi emphasized that Hadhramaut is capable of overcoming its challenges by unifying the will of its people. He noted that security stability is the gateway to development, and that development is a guarantee of social justice. He called for strengthening dialogue among all components to build a unified vision that serves the interests of the governorate. He emphasized the need to intensify efforts to confront the violations and dangers threatening the people of Hadhramaut, enhance coordination among community components, and emphasize the importance of integrating internal ranks into decision-making processes to ensure fair representation of the governorate’s interests.
