Major General Bin Brik Arrives in Mukalla

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, arrived in Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramaut Governorate, on Friday, coming from the United Arab Emirates.
Major General Bin Brik was received upon his arrival at the international airport by Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Chairman of the Executive Authority of the Hadhramaut Transitional Council; Professor Mohammed Abdulmalik Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the Executive Authority of the Valley and Desert Transitional Council; a number of Southern Transitional Council leaders; dignitaries, leaders, and sheikhs of Hadhramaut; and a large crowd of citizens.
Upon his arrival in Al Rayyan, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik made a brief statement, saying, “Our health conditions did not prevent us from attending your celebrations of the ninth anniversary of the liberation of the coastal districts from the terrorist elements of Al Qaeda. We were part of the battle to liberate the coastal districts, accompanied by Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Major General Abdul Rahim Atiq, and other leaders I cannot mention now.”
The Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council noted the great sacrifices made by our heroes for the sake of the nation, and that this is the least we can offer in appreciation of the memory of our martyrs.
Major General Ahmed bin Brik is scheduled to hold several meetings with segments of Hadrami society before participating in the southern people’s celebrations of the ninth anniversary of the liberation of Mukalla and its cleansing of terrorist elements on April 24, 2016.
