Major General Bin Brik discusses with Al-Thaqali general situation on the island of Socotra

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, met on Wednesday with the head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Council in Socotra Archipelago, Eng. Raafat Ali Al-Thaqali.
Major General Bin Brik discussed with Eng. Al-Thaqali the general situation on the island and ways to advance the Council’s role within it, in order to achieve economic and service stability there.
The meeting reviewed the latest political and military developments on the southern arena and the current developments in the capital, Aden, in particular, and the rest of the governorates of the South in general.
The meeting also touched on developments related to the role of the Southern Transitional Council in completing the rest of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement and the participation in the political settlement process, as well as the updates for the next stage.
At the end of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik stressed on the coordination for holding the special session of the National Assembly on the island of Socotra in the near future, and the required good preparation for it.
