Major General Bin Brik discusses with Deputy Australian Ambassador developments in consultations and political and economic situation and efforts to combat terrorism

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, met on Wednesday evening, the Australian Deputy Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen, Mr. William Bell Alisher.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political and economic developments, efforts to combat terrorism in the South, and the progress of the ongoing consultations held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The Australian Deputy Ambassador listened from Major General Bin Brik to a detailed explanation of the poor economic, service and living conditions in the governorates of the South, and the suffering that citizens are experiencing there, as a result of the deterioration of the currency and the continuation of the stifling crises.

The Chairman of the National Assembly stressed the continuation of the role of the Southern Transitional Council and its efforts as an effective partner in combating terrorism, maintaining the security and stability of international corridors, and stabilizing the pillars of security and stability in the governorates of the South.

Major-General Bin Brik indicated that the presence of the Transitional Council for the Riyadh consultations sponsored by the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in order to support efforts to establish peace and to record a supportive position for the coalition in developing ideas for reforming legitimacy to confront the current challenges and address all national files and issues, foremost of which is the issue of the state of the south and urgent issues related to the life of citizens.
