Major General Bin Brik discusses with President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry economic conditions and activating investment

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, on Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Assembly, met with Mr. Abu Bakr Salem Baobaid, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital, Aden.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed the economic conditions and the outrageous rise in food prices, which negatively affected the life of the citizens, and ways to control the movement of the daily rise in prices.
The meeting also discussed how to activate the role of investment so that its benefits are positively reflected into the capital, Aden, so that it can restore its leading role in various fields.
The meeting stood before some of the problems and obstacles that stand against the work of the Presidency of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and ways to solve them to keep pace with the upcoming stages.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Abu Bakr Baobaid referred to the crisis that will affect the economic situation in the country due to the depletion of wheat stocks as a result of the recent war between Russia and Ukraine, wishing for cooperation of the government and the competent authorities to reach to quick and effective solutions.
