Major General Bin Brik inaugurates training course organized by Media Department for members of Media in Hadhramout Transitional Council

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, and with him, Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, on Tuesday, inaugurated in the capital, Aden, a training course of “Press editing skills and creating digital content”, organized by the Media Information Department in the Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, in cooperation with the Training and Rehabilitation Sector of the National Southern Media Authority, for members of media information departments in the executive bodies of the local leaderships of the Transitional Council in Hadhramout governorate.
At the beginning, the attendees stood for a minute to recite Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of the media who died in the terrorist bombings in the capital, Aden recently. After that Major General Ahmed Bin Brik delivered a speech at the inauguration, in which he conveyed to the participants the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council.
In his speech, Major General Bin Brik pointed out to the important role played by the southern media, and the great tasks it is concerned with in defending the South and its cause by confronting the enemies of the homeland and their hostile media, especially in light of the current difficult circumstances that the country is going through, stressing the need to present the news content in the right way that delivers the true southern national message for the people at home and abroad.
Major General Bin Brik urged the participants in the course to take advantage of it to raise and develop their media capabilities in the service of the southern cause and the people of the South, stressing the need to work on presenting the effective role of the media in their administrations and to represent it in the right way in all the governorates of the South.
Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Vice-Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, Head of the Radio and Television Sector, also delivered a speech, in which he indicated that the National Southern Media Authority makes great efforts to advance the media in the South, because the media represents a basic line of defense for the South, and its cause and people, stressing that the National Southern Media Authority is exerting everything in its power to enhance the role of the media in all governorates of the South, and it will exert all its energies to that end.
Dr. Bassem Mansour, Head of the Media Information Department in the General Secretariat of the Council Presidency, member of the National Southern Media Authority, welcomed at the inauguration the attendees and participants from Hadhramout governorate, noting that this training course is being held under the generous sponsorship of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Council, in the framework of the activities of the Department in particular, and the National Authority in general, to work on restoring the southern media’s remarkable status, and rebuilding it in a proper manner, through media training programs full of modern and important media skills to keep pace with the modern and advanced media, wishing the participants in the training course success in getting the required benefit and knowledge and work to implement it on the ground.
The participants in the training course on the first day received from Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Sector, a detailed explanation about the role of the media in highlighting the southern identity, and learned about the method of professional news drafting, and how to create digital content, and they also received practical training on how to prepare and design media campaigns.
In the same context, Major General Ahmed Bin Brik, along with Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, and Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafei, and Dr. Bassem Mansour, after the inauguration of the training course, toured the Media Training Center, and got acquainted from Dr. Abdullah Al-How about the various sections of the center and the most important activities and services provided by the Training Center for the southern media.
