Major General Bin Brik meets Head of the National Society for Emergency and Disaster Medicine

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Thursday, with Dr. Omar Qassem Saleh Turki, Head of the National Society for Emergency and Disaster Medicine.
In the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Salma Bazarie, Deputy Head of the Health and Population Committee in the National Society, Dr. Turki previewed the Society’s activities since its establishment in the capital, Aden, and the facilities it has provided in this aspect, which is considered one of the important aspects in the health sector.
The meeting also touched on discussing the health situation in general in the governorates of the South and the lack of emergency and disaster medicine consultants in some hospitals.
Major General Bin Brik praised the work of the Society, and the self-efforts made by its management and staff to improve the health situation in the governorates of the South, in which he directed for the expansion of the Society’s work activities by establishing a main center in Hadramout that includes the rest of the governorates of the South, as well as assessing the health situation there and what can be provided of facilities to improve it.
