Major General Bin Brik meets the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, met on Monday, in the capital, Aden, Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Nasser Al-Saadi, Chairman of the Community Assistant Authority to the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Mr. Saeed Saadan, Chairman of the Institutional Development Assistant Authority to the Presidency of the Transitional Council, and a number of ministry officials, Major General Ahmed bin Brik welcomed Dr. Al-Zaouri and the team accompanying him, briefing him on the the most prominent work programs and activities of the Ministry.

The meeting reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry’s staff, and the difficulties facing the conduct of their work at the critical time that the country is going through, which coincides in particular with the presence of more than one body whose work is linked to the work of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

In the meeting, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik stressed the necessity of coordination and integration between the Ministry, the Transitional Council, civil society organizations, and the competent authorities, in activities and events that achieve humanitarian goals, indicating that the role of the organizations is not limited to the displaced in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of Lahj and Abyan, but extends to the rest of the governorates of Shabwa, Hadramaut, Al-Mahra, and Socotra.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Major General Ahmed Bin Brik stressed the Transitional Council’s support for the leadership of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, in a way that facilitates its work and removes the obstacles facing it.
For his part, Minister Al-Zaouri appreciated the keenness and great interest shown by the Southern Transitional Council, and its continued endeavor to provide positive business models that serve the community in various aspects.
