Major General Bin Brik meets with a number of trade union leaders in Aden the capital

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Sunday, with leaders of a number of trade unions in the capital, Aden.

The meeting discussed issues related to strengthening union and organizational work and its activity, the role of political leadership in strengthening unions’ capabilities and advancing their work and activity in the capital, Aden, and the South, and the importance of union frameworks, unifying their efforts and their contribution to community development and how to preserve them in general, and their role in strengthening institutional building and empowering the rights of sector employees, and improving the living situation.

During the meeting, Major General Bin Brik stressed the Transitional Council leadership’s keenness that union and administrative work in the capital, Aden, and the South, be a model that reflects a positive image of everything that works in it, and finding ways to address all issues that were raised and discussed during the meeting and take them into consideration.

Major General Bin Brik stressed the importance of work and concerted efforts to find logical and realistic solutions to all problems and issues and to understand the difficulty of the stage and the current situation the country is going through, especially in the current stage, which represents an important crossroads for the cause of the people of the South and to achieve their aspirations in their fateful issues by restoring their state and identity, noting that unions and union work in the South had an honorable and influential history and left clear fingerprints and represented a model that is referred to as remarkable.
