Major General Bin Brik Meets with Sheikhs of Middle Area in Abyan Governorate

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Monday, with a number of sheikhs of the Middle area in Abyan Governorate.
In the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Al-Khader Al-Saeedi, a member of the STC’s Presidium, and Brigadier General Nasser Al-Saadi, head of the Community Commission of the STC, the attendees exposed Major General Bin Brik to a full view of the situation in the middle area, Al-Mahfad and Ahwar, which was affected by the terrorist forces, causing anxiety and panic among the community and citizens in those areas.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Brigadier General Ahmed Hassan, Head of the Security Department of the STC, ways of maintaining security and the return of the displaced to their areas were discussed, as well as the adoption of sustainable projects to build and develop these areas, in addition to recruiting the youth of those areas to secure their villages and areas from any invaders, attackers, or aggressors.
Major General Bin Brik stressed the importance of crystalizing a clear vision and identifying the main points through which to work on stabilizing the situation within the affected areas and simultaneously gave directives to the formed committee led by Major General Mohammad Ali Hadi, head of the Security Committee in the National Assembly, to continue its work and supervise the process of implementing the arrangement of the situation in those areas.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdullah Elayan, a member of the National Assembly, and Mr. Ahmed Qassem, office director of the chairman of the Assembly.
