Major General Bin Brik receives a number of sheikhs and dignitaries from Abyan Governorate

Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, received a number of sheikhs and dignitaries from Abyan Governorate, led by Sheikh Ali Nasser Al-Fadhli.
At the beginning of the meeting, which included lawyer Niran Sooki, member of the Presidency of the Council, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Bin Brik welcomed the personalities from Abyan Governorate, expressing his great happiness for holding this meeting.
The Acting President valued the struggle role of all the people of Abyan in the various stages of the national southern struggle, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council pays most of its attention to the governorate.
The meeting reviewed the latest political, economic and military developments in the South and Abyan governorate in particular, and the need to unify the southern ranks and work as one man to defend the homeland and its soil from any enemy or invaders.
Major General Ahmed Saeed stressed that we are in the last moments of the war and we must work more responsibly towards the homeland and its just cause with the participation of all southern spectrums, especially at this critical and important stage that requires more solidarity and support to arrange the internal homeland.
In the meeting that was attended by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, head of the internal Southern National Dialogue team and his deputy, Abd al-Salam Qassem Mossad, Dr. Al-Hajj presented a brief explanation of the goal of the southern dialogue and the paths and next steps for it, stressing that the dialogue is very important and is an approach to solving internal problems and conflicts in an upscale and peaceful worthy manner for the people of the South and their state.
For their part, the attendees, thanked Major General Bin Brik, for the warm reception, stressing that Abyan governorate needs reunification and more attention and care in order to improve the governorate in all fields, the most important of which is the agricultural aspect that the governorate famous of and its people depend on as a main source of income.
At the conclusion of the meeting, several issues related to the governorate’s internal affairs were put to discussion.
