Major General Bin Brik Receives Delegation of Dignitaries and Notables of Tribes of Nawah in Hadramout

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly of the STC, met today, Wednesday, in the city of Al-Mukalla, Hadramout Governorate, with a delegation of dignitaries and notables of the tribes of Nawah in Hadramout.
At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik expressed his happiness at meeting the delegation of the tribes of Nawah, conveying to them the greetings of President Aidarous bin Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).
The Vice President of the STC gave a satisfied explanation of the sixth session of the National Assembly, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the role of the people of Hadramout in bringing success to the session and their warm reception and hospitality.
The Chairman of the Assembly stated: “The convening of the Assembly in Hadramout comes to highlight the historical status of Hadhramaut in the present and its pioneering position in the future of the aspired state,” noting that Hadhramaut makes up the third of the National Assembly, in addition to the fact that the Chairman of the Assembly is from Hadramout.
Major General Bin Brik confirmed that the Assembly’s session, which was held in Hadramout, was characterized by profoundly discussing deeply concerning topics after a five-year experience, adding, “Today we are working hard on shifting from the phase of revolution to the phase of building the state. As the phase of the revolution has gone and now the phase of building and managing the state, restoring institutions, fighting and combating corruption,”
The Vice President of the STC reviewed a number of changes and paradigm shifts that took place in the past period, which led to the southern national dialogue, resulted in reaching the National Charter, and now represent an interim constitution, pointing out that all differences and disparities will be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding.”
Major General Bin Brik affirmed, “The dialogue will definitely remain widely open with those who have different points of view, but we frankly tell them that the southern national dialogue has reunited and rapproched the southerners, and we will sit with those who have not come yet and invite them to participate in building the state, sharing power, and making decisions about the fate of the South and defending it. We invite them to a true and effective partnership in building and preserving the state and consolidating the principle of law and order.”
In turn, the dignitaries and notables of Nawah tribes expressed their thanks to the Vice President of the STC for the opportunity of the meeting and their gratitude for the leadership of the STC represented by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi and the steps he is taking to strengthen national cohesiveness among all the people of the South and their involvement in managing the stage, affirming their full support to all the steps that would defend the interests of the South and would highlight Hadramout and its people and its scientific, historical, and cultural value, preserve its resources, and establish the pillars of its security and stability.
