Major General Bin Brik Receives Dignitaries and Notables of Bani Murra Tribe in Hadramout

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, received today, Wednesday, in the city of Al-Mukalla, a number of dignitaries and notables of the Bani Marra tribe in Hadramout governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik offered thanks to the Bani Marra tribe for their presence and their good attitudes towards Hadramout and the southern homeland, conveying to them the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), for their positive efforts and their patriotic stance towards the South.

In the meeting, the Vice President of the STC said: “Currently, we are living in a phase of transition from the revolution to the state, that state that takes into account the rights of citizens with justice and fairness, and for that state, we have been shouldering the project of a comprehensive state of the South, neither a one-class nor zone-based nepotism, but the state that unites all southerners who assume the responsibility of its construction.”

Major General Ben Brik affirmed that the southern national dialogue, which had been initiated by the National Assembly and pursued by the dialogue team, culminated in the holding of the consultative meeting of the southern components and the signing of the Southern National Charter, in addition to the restructuring process, since all the components and forces have affirmed the right of all southerners to be a constructive part of this homeland and to positively participate in shaping the features of its future and building the federal state of the South.

During his speech, Major General Bin Brik highlighted that Hadramout is great with its people, history, culture, and resources, noting that the convening of the sixth session of the National Assembly in Hadramout is an affirmation of the national value of Hadramout for the South.

In turn, the dignitaries and notables of the Bani Murra tribe expressed their thanks to Major General Bin Brik for the good reception and gratitude for the leadership of the STC represented by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi for the major national efforts he is making to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the South, affirming their support for the STC and coalescing around its leadership by whatever leads to achieve the interests of the South and highlighting Hadramout as an effective force that reflects its precious value in its people and tribes, with its ancient history, rich culture, and resources.
