Major General Bin Brik receives head of Geneva Call in Yemen

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, received on Wednesday, in his office at the Assembly’s headquarters, Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, President of Geneva Call in Yemen.
In the meeting, which included lawyer Niran Souki, member of the Presidency, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Bin Brik welcomed Mr. Mohammed Hassan, and listened from him to an adequate explanation of the humanitarian work of the organization and its goals in developing its future work tasks by expanding the awareness-raising process in international law humanitarian protection and the protection of citizens from armed conflict during war.
For his part, Major General Ahmed Saeed stressed the need for the organization to focus during its work period on expanding its activities to include the rest of the governorates of the South, praising its role during the previous period and its constant keenness in the process of training and qualifying military forces and leaders, praising the humanitarian role it played in protecting citizens from armed conflicts along its work in the South.
Major General Bin Brik stressed that the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council is working hard to overcome the difficulties facing the work of international and regional organizations to be able to perform their work tasks as required.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to training and rehabilitation of the target parties in the organization’s work program, which enhances the protection of civilians during the conflict and how to continue it and apply it on the ground.
