Major General Bin Brik reviews activities of Woman’s Department in Abyan Governorate

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, got briefed on the activities and work programs of the Woman and Child Committee and Department in Abyan Governorate, this came during his meeting on Thursday with the member of the National Assembly, Maryam Saleh, and the head of the Woman and Child Department in Zinjibar, Buna Saleh.
In the meeting, which included Ms. Siham Al-Radfani, deputy head of the Human Rights Committee in the Assembly, Major General Bin Brik listened to a full explanation of the situation in Abyan Governorate, especially the situation of southern women.
The Chairman of the National Assembly stressed the importance of encouraging southern women through the establishment and support of small projects in order to improve the standard of living for women, integrate them into the local labor market and develop their skills and capabilities in light of the difficult circumstances of the country.
During the meeting, Major General Bin Brik referred to the upcoming directions of the leadership of Southern Transitional Council and the changes that will be implemented through the restructuring that will be announced in the fifth session of the bodies of Southern Transitional Council for development and construction in line with the phase changes.
