Major General Bin Brik: The martyrdom of Abu Al-Yamamah and his companions sparked events that took the South to advanced stages

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council commemorated on Saturday, the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Brigadier General Munir Mahmoud Al-Yafei (Abu Al-Yamamah), commander of the First Brigade of Backup and Support Brigades, and his companions who were martyred in a treacherous operation in the Al-Jalaa camp in the capital Aden last year.

The occasion witnessed the participation of  Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Transitional Council, and attended by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi; Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, and Attorney Niran Sooki, member of the Presidency of the Council, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, and members of the National Assembly, the General Secretariat and a number of officials of the public authorities and local, legal, social and military personalities, and resistance leaders, besides the family and companions of the martyr and his companions and colleagues.

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik delivered a speech in which he prayed for mercy on the souls of the martyrs, and conveyed to the attendees the greetings of the President of the Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi.

bin Brik said, “The martyr Abu al-Yamamah and his companions sacrificed their most valuable possessions so that the homeland of the south could live free and secured.”

He added: “The martyrdom of Abu Al-Yamamah and his companions sparked events that moved the south with another advanced move, so our delegation is fighting a political battle in Riyadh alongside our battle here in Sheikh Salem against a gang that does nothing but fighting the people in their salaries and by cutting from them services of water, electricity power, fuel, and others. ”

Major General Bin Brik, called on those who are deceived and pushed by the war merchants in Shokra to hand over their weapons and return to their homes in safety and not to be the firewood of battles.

He also called on the hesitant people to settle their positions, ride on the ship of truth, and give priority to the interests of their people, as there is no room for hesitation now, and he truth has become apparent and the delegation of the Transitional Council has embodied it well in Riyadh negotiations, stressing that the country now requires decisive positions.

He stressed, “We will not surrender and we will win, as long as we are marching confident and steady in steps towards freedom and independence.”

Major General Bin Brik wished in this regard full success to the new governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, calling on everyone to stand by him and support him to improve the situation in Aden.

In conclusion, Bin Brik thanked the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for all that they had offered to the people of the south and for their cause.

A speech for the family of the martyr was delivered by his brother, Mokhtar Mahmoud Al-Yafei, confirming the continuation of determination on the march of the martyr and his companions and the renewal of their covenant, assuring that they do not retreat from the southern national constants that Abu al-Yamamah and his companions kept defending and paid their lives for.

The event witnessed other speeches of the southern resistance, the youth, and others.

It was also interspersed with poems expressing the courage of the martyr and his companions, their exploits and their noble humanitarian stances.
