Minister of Planning discusses with IOM implementation of Displacement Tracking Matrix project

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badeeb, discussed, in the capital, Aden, with the Deputy Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission in Yemen John McCue, the organization’s preparations, in cooperation and coordination with the government side, to implement the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) project to measure the needs and required assistance, in the liberated governorates. .
During the meeting, they reviewed the preparations, plans and efforts made for the project for the displaced and migrants, the parties involved in its implementation, including the government side, and the project implementation stages, as well as the formation of a joint technical team to prepare the mechanism and the final plan for the implementation of the project.
The Minister of Planning stressed the importance of coordination and good preparation for the implementation of the Displacement Tracking Matrix project to ensure the desired results and the preparation of a comprehensive and integrated database based on accurate and sound information to contribute to confronting the issues of displacement and migrants and finding the right treatments for them with the participation of all official bodies and government partners from international organizations.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Planning, Dr. Nizar Basheeb, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for the International Cooperation Sector Omar Abdulaziz, the Engineer Projects Sector, Minister Al-Sharmani, the Assistant Undersecretary for the International Cooperation Sector Mansour Zaid, and a number of stakeholders from the International Organization for Migration.
