Minister of Transport: Plans to operate flights between Al-Rayyan and Cairo airports

Dr. Abdulsalam Humaid, Minister of Transport, was briefed on the progress of work at Al-Rayyan International Airport, during an inspection tour, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Air Transport Sector, Engineer Tariq Ali, and the President of the Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Saleh Bin Nahid.
Accompanied by the Director of Al-Rayyan Airport, Eng. Anis Basoutin, and the airport leadership, he inspected the airport’s departments, the level of technical equipment, modern equipment, the departure and reception halls, and the waiting hall.
The airport administration put forward aspects of its efforts to operate internal and external flights for airlines, Arab coalition airlines and international organizations around the clock.
The Minister of Transport appreciated the efforts of the UAE brothers in modernizing and developing the airport through security and logistical support for the successful operation of the airport, expressing his appreciation for the keenness of Governor Mabkhout bin Madi to develop and enhance the efficiency of Al-Rayyan Airport through coordination with the Emirati brothers.
Humaid revealed plans to open flights from Al-Rayyan Airport to Cairo International Airport, expecting to start operating them in the next few period, calling on the Aviation Authority to meet the needs of Al-Rayyan Airport leadership and support it with competencies, operating costs, training and qualification.
