Minister Salem Al-Socotri meets the Red Cross delegation in the capital, Aden

The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries Salem Al- Socotri met in his office at the Ministry with the Head of the Red Cross Mission in Aden the capital, Beatrice Ochley.
In the meeting, Minister Al-Socotri praised the humanitarian assistance provided by the Red Cross in all fields, and the aspects of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Red Cross, and the efforts it provides through humanitarian aid to the needy, pointing to the importance of joint and organized work in aid missions and humanitarian work.
Al-Socotri pointed to the importance of finding solutions to any problems in the humanitarian aid provided by the Red Cross in accordance with the ministry’s work plans and setting appropriate mechanisms for that through the provision of sustainable projects, food industries, irrigation, solar energy, and projects that contribute in helping needy people.
Al-Socotri emphasized the Ministry’s support for the Red Cross in all fields and to overcome all the difficulties that face its tasks.
For her part, the head of the Red Cross gave a detailed explanation of what the Red Cross provides in Aden the capital through humanitarian aid and the projects and activities of the ministry in the areas of livestock and fish trout by providing assistance in the field of fish landings in Abyan governorate and providing aid and financial amounts to fishermen, pointing to the importance of preparing studies for the projects presented by the Ministry and the importance of joint work for the humanitarian service and for addressing any problems and demonstrating all the difficulties in proportion to the joint work, stressing that the Red Cross provides aid through direct distribution without a partner to the affected and the needy, which helps improve the level of work and access to the needy of all groups and the importance of organizing work with the ministry and specialists, creating a joint balance according to the needs and working directly with the competent authorities in the ministerial to avoid any problems and contribute to the provision of needs and requirements in positive ways that help develop work and provide assistance in all regions.
