MSF takes over the administration of Corona treatment center at Al-Amal Hospital in #Borika
It was agreed on Thursday, that MSF organization takes over the task of administrating the Covid-19 treatment center at Al-Amal Hospital in Borika District, west of Aden, after coordination with local authorities.
In a press statement issued by Doctors Without Borders “MSF” said that local health authorities will continue to be responsible for Covid-19’s comprehensive response in Aden, including checks and management of rapid response teams.
The organization added that their team of Yemeni and international staff is working to provide the best possible care for patients in the hospital, saying that the authorities confirmed that 16 cases had been infected with Covid-19 in Aden, three of them had died.
The MSF expressed happiness to work in close partnership with the authorities in their response to Covid-19.
MSF has been running the surgical hospital in Aden since 2012 and continues to provide care there despite the Covid-19 outbreak.
