Mukalla witnesses popular celebrations to celebrate National Assemby 6th session in Hadramout and to commemorate 29th anniversary of disengagement declaration

The city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout Governorate, on Saturday, witnessed popular activities, in celebration of holding the 6th session of the National Assembly in the city of Mukalla, which coincides with our people’s celebrations of the 29th anniversary to declare the disengagement from the Arab Republic of Yemen.
The artistic events and folk games were held in the neighborhoods of the ancient city of Mukalla, interspersed with dances from the Hadhrami heritage, such as the Al-Iddah dance, performed by two troupes from the districts of Ghayl Bawazir and Al-Shihr.
The popular games turned into a mass march, with the participation of citizens who raised the flags of the state of the South and pictures of the President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, and chanted songs calling for the restoration of the independent, federal state of the South.
