Mukalla commemorates 7th anniversary of liberating Hadramout coast with speeches and artistic celebration in presence of Al-Kathiri and Al-Mohammadi

The city of Mukalla in Hadramout Governorate, on Monday, witnessed a celebration event, to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the liberation of the coast of Hadramout from al-Qaeda elements, organized by the popular campaign to thank the UAE, in the presence of Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Chairman of the National Authority for Southern Media, and Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, head of the executive body of STC in Hadramout.

During the celebration, which was sponsored by the governor of Hadramout, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, Al-Kathiri delivered a speech in which he delivered his congratulations to the people of the governorate on this eternal national occasion, once again saluting those heroes, participants in that heroic epic, from the Hadrami elite forces, and from all regions of our beloved South.

Al-Kathiri expressed appreciation of the great role played by the Emirati brothers in the liberation operation, stressing that the joy of the people of Hadramout will not be complete unless the liberation of the valley is complete and the Yemeni forces are expelled, in implementation of the Riyadh agreement and its consultations, and in fulfillment of the aspirations of our people to manage their own affairs, and enable them to benefit from their wealth, and deploy Hadrami elite forces in different parts of Hadramout.

Al-Kathiri called on the people of Hadramout, with their various tribal and political affiliations, to further line up and unite, in order to be masters of their land.

The celebration, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Saeed Barzeeq, besides social and political figures, cultural and media personalities, military and security leaders, and a large gathering of citizens, included various artistic sections, from the Emirati and Hadrami heritage, performed by a number of arts stars and well-known folk groups.
