National Assembly’s Administrative Board of STC Praises Success of Celebrations of Glorious October 14 Revolution

The Administrative Board of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting on Wednesday, chaired by the Assembly’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Essam Abdo Ali.

At the beginning of the meeting, Essam Abdo praised the resounding success achieved by the activities commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the Glorious October 14 Revolution in Hadhramaut and Al-Dhale’e Governorates, and across the southern governorates. He noted that the large public turnout and distinguished organization reflected the spirit of solidarity and determination of the people of the south to continue the struggle to restore their state. He emphasized that the messages conveyed by the mass events had profound political connotations that expressed the awareness of the southern people and their adherence to their national choice.

The Administrative Board paid tribute to the great people of the South, who contributed to the success of the events despite the challenges and suffering they face. It emphasized that these people have proven to the entire world their desire for freedom and independence.

The Administrative Board praised the contents of the political speech delivered by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi on the eve of the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, calling for its translation into a national southern action program, foremost among which is the completion of the Southern National Dialogue under the goal of restoring the southern state.

The Board also commended the comprehensive speech delivered by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Speaker of the National Assembly, before the crowds gathered in Shibam Hadramaut, which emphasized the necessity of dialogue between the various political factions that believe in restoring the southern state.

In another context, the Administrative Board discussed the report of the Anti-Corruption Committee, which included a presentation of the most prominent manifestations of corruption in government institutions and the measures that must be taken to curb it, strengthen the role of financial and administrative oversight and inspection, and establish the principle of reward and punishment.

The Administrative Board of the National Assembly concluded its meeting by reviewing its previous minutes, discussing a number of issues related to internal affairs, living conditions, and services, and taking appropriate decisions.
