National Southern Media Authority appreciates President Al-Zubaidi’s support for developing efforts of southern media work

The National Southern Media Authority, on Tuesday, held its periodic meeting at the Training and Rehabilitation Center building, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, official spokesman of the Council.

In the meeting, Mr. Ali Al Kathiri delivered a brief speech in which he valued the presence of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, to inaugurate the headquarters of the training and rehabilitation sector of the authority, praising his unlimited support for the sectors affiliated with the authority’s framework and his keenness to develop their performance to raise the level of work and raise the efficiency its cadres.

Mr. Al Kathiri praised the great efforts made by the training and rehabilitation sector staff in preparing the building within a short period of time, stressing the importance of the role and responsibilities that the sector will undertake to bring about a qualitative improvement in the southern media performance, by rehabilitating the cadres of the council’s bodies in particular, and southern media professionals in general.

The meeting reviewed the performance level of the media sectors affiliated with the authority, their future plans, and the urgent needs that would enable them to accomplish the tasks entrusted to them.

The meeting listened to a briefing from Dr. Saddam Abdullah, head of the press and modern media sector, on what has been accomplished to re-launch Aden News Agency and the final project for its organizational construction.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees presented a number of observations and suggestions regarding some topics and issues related to the work of the sectors, and the necessary action to be taken regarding them.
