National Southern Media Authority Discusses Activities of Sections

The National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), held, on Thursday, its periodic meeting, chaired by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), head of NSMA,
Mr. Al-Kathiri began the meeting, with a speech in which he stressed on importance of strengthening cohesion in NSMA, doubling efforts and accomplishing tasks, each within the concerned purview; to ensure achieving the determined goals.
The head of NSMA pointed out that the South is entering a crucial and sensitive stage that requires teamwork spirit, and to cope up with the political changes that have emerged from Riyadh consultations, with a commitment to a sedate media discourse antagonizes nobody and accommodates variety in this stage, while preserving the national principles and fundamentals of the South.
During the meeting, reports were submitted and reviewed by heads of NSMA sections, including the prominent activities that have been implemented during the past period, and level of fulfilling the assigned tasks in each section, in the same context, stressing on the need to submit the annual reports of implemented activities, since establishing NSMA, to attach in the overall achievement and present to Presidency of the STC for the ultimate discussion and approval.
The meeting also listened to a report on performance of the STC’s official website during the last period, as well as the encountered difficulties and troubles that have administratively been met, further to several proposals and suggestions that would contribute to overcome such difficulties, and solve any troubles may futurely come across its administration.
Finally, the meeting stood before ongoing preparations to cover the activities to be implemented in the capital, Aden and other governorates of the South, to celebrate the 28th anniversary of announcing disengagement on May 21, simultaneously, took and designated the necessary measures and assignment in such regard.
