National Southern Media Authority stresses the need to enhance media performance to confront hostile media

The National Southern Media Authority, today, Saturday, held at the authority’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, its periodic meeting, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ali Al-Kathiri stressed that the declaration of the state of emergency, that was announced by the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, to mobilize efforts and raise the state of readiness to confront the attempt of the new Houthi invasion, and the accompanying attempts to destabilize the southern home front by using the wave of peaceful protests and diverting its path towards violence and chaos.
The meeting discussed the media plan for all sectors of the authority in light of the declaration of the state of emergency, calling on the southern media outlets to enhance their media performance to confront conspiracies targeting the South, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council, led by the President of the Council, will not stand idly by before any attempt to provoke chaos and violence and ignite sedition, stressing that the Council stands with all its capabilities with the right of our southern people to protest peacefully and to denounce the war of services waged by influential parties in the system of legitimacy.
The meeting reviewed the performance of the southern media in light of the media campaigns launched by the Houthi media and the Muslim Brotherhood to mislead public opinion at home and outside about the course of reality on the southern national arena, stressing the importance of strengthening communication and coordination with all southern media professionals and media outlets to form a single front against the hostile media represented by the Houthi militia and the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Media Authority concluded its meeting by discussing a number of developments related to the southern media and issues related to the work of the media sectors of the authority, and took the necessary measures in this regard.
