SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The Central Bank in the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, decided to oblige commercial banks, Islamic banks, and local and foreign microfinance banks to move their main centers from the city of Sanaa to the capital, Aden, within 60 days of issuing the decision.
The Central Bank warned that all legal measures would be taken against him, in accordance with the provisions of the effective Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Law and its executive regulations, against any bank that fails to move its operations center to the capital, Aden, during the announced period.
The decision was attributed to the illegal measures that banks and banks are exposed to from the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, which is classified as a terrorist organization, and the risk of freezing their accounts and stopping dealing with them externally, in addition to the terrorist Houthis issuing illegal currencies to disrupt the financial system.
