Presidency of STC: “Transferring Military Forces from Valley and Desert of Hadhramaut to Combat Fronts is Absolute Necessity.”

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting, on Tuesday, chaired by General Major Ben Brik acting President of STC, Chairman of the National Assembly.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Presidency applauded the huge mass rallies of the people of Hadhramaut, reiterated its demand for the Arab coalition to transfer the military forces from the first military division, as it is an imperative to stabilize the security situation in the Valley and Desert of Hadhrmout, inasmuch as the popular rejection of these forces was articulated at large, in the city of Seiyun on the anniversary of the glorious 14th of October revolution.

At its meeting, the Presidency condemned the Houthi military escalation on the Yafe’a, Al-Dhale’a, Al-Sabbaiha, and Karesh fronts, stressing the importance of expediting the arrangements for transferring the military forces positioned in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramaut to the fronts to confront this escalation. In this respect, it cautioned against any attempts to obstruct these preparations, which could be considered an annulment of the Riyadh Agreement and efforts to complete its implementation.

After that, the Presidency discussed a report submitted by the Decision-Making Support Center, which focused on the latest developments in the southern landscape, in addition to another report submitted by the Internal Southern National Dialogue team (ISNDT), on the results of its meetings with various forces, formations, and community organizations.

Instantly, the Presidency expressed its appreciation for endeavours of the ISNDT, which met various political and social components and groups in the South, affirming its support for all efforts that establish a solid southern rapprochement and cohesiveness, and called on all southerners to cooperate with the internal and external dialogue teams to contribute to achieving this national mission.

At the end of the meeting, the Presidency stood before several topics and issues on its agenda and took appropriate measures in this regard.
