Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council holds its periodic meeting chaired by President Al-Zubaidi

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held today, Monday, its periodic meeting, chaired by the President of the Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, the governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and the ministers of the Council in the parity government, in which it discussed the nature of the tasks accomplished by the Presidency in light of the decisions of its previous meetings, specifically with regard to the deterioration of services, as well as addressing the conditions of Aden International Airport.

The Presidency of the Council reviewed a report submitted by the Decision-Making Support Center on a number of issues related to developments and events in the southern arena during the past period, and recommendations aimed at strengthening the role and presence of the Southern Transitional Council.

The Presidency was briefed on the progress of the work and activities of the ministries affiliated with the Council, stressing the importance of strengthening the work of these ministries and providing their services to citizens in the liberated governorates of the south in a better way.

In the context, the Presidency of the Council discussed the confrontations taking place in Lauder district of Abyan governorate following the treacherous Brotherhood attack backed by terrorist forces on defenseless citizens, stressing the importance of strengthening the unity of cohesiveness, to face these challenges, and to defend our people in Lauder, Mudiyah, and the other regions in the governorates of Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidency of the Council affirmed its adherence to the Riyadh Agreement, reiterating the call to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the sponsor of the agreement, to put pressure on the other party to implement the rest terms of the agreement, and to compel the other party to desist from its violations, practices and defilements, whose continuation would thwart the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
