Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council Holds its Regular Meeting and Discusses Performance Reports of Several Departments
[su_label]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting headed by president Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and attended by Geberal Ahmed Said Ben Brik, chairman of the Southern National Assembly, and Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, secretary general of the council.
The meeting discussed achievement reports filed by media department of the general secretariat, media center of the presidency and center for decision-making. The meeting appreciated the efforts of the three bodies during the previous periods and asserted the importance of improving work rates to achieve the desired goals.
The meeting also discussed the report filed by the Humanitarian Aids Commission of Laban Hurricane in Al-Mehra that ended its works last week and delivered all humanitarian aids granted by the council to the affected citizens according to field survey.
The meeting also discussed the call of James Mattis, Us Secretary of Defense, to end the war in Yemen and start peace negotiations in 30 days. Accordingly, the council asserted full support to all efforts to end the war and establish rightful peace through solving all relevant issues including the southern cause as top priority based on the principle of self-determination of the southern people to decide on their political future.
The meeting also discussed a report about educational situation after ending teachers’ strike in southern governorates in which teachers demanded their rights and payments. The meeting asserted the importance of providing students with suitable educational environment to guarantee the fluency and efficiency of the educational process.
