Presidency of Transitional Council discusses developments in military and security situation in the South

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Saturday, its periodic meeting chaired by Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Member of the Presidency, Acting President of the Council, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit.
At the beginning of the meeting, the attendees stood for a minute of mourning to read al-Fatiha for the souls of the nation’s martyrs, whose lives had risen to its creator as a result of the sinful terrorist incident that targeted the leadership of the Backup and Support forces, asking the Almighty Allah, to bless the martyrs with mercy and forgiveness.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the military and security situation in the southern arena, in which a report by the Joint Operations Authority of the Southern Armed Forces was submitted and reviewed.
In its meeting, the Presidency stressed the importance of taking measures to maintain security and stability to preserve public tranquility, and develop the performance and institutional work of the military and security forces in Aden the capital, and throughout the southern governorates.
The Presidency expressed its deep appreciation for the steadfastness and ruggedness of the southern armed and security forces in various locations and fronts.
The meeting affirmed the Southern Transitional Council’s keenness to address the issues of salaries and financial allocations for the southern armed forces, and to place them at the forefront of its priorities to find solutions to ensure the payment of all their dues.
In the meeting, which was attended by the cabinet ministers in the parity government and the director of security in the capital Aden, the Presidency affirmed its position in supporting the positions of the Southern Judges Club in rejecting the decision to appoint the Attorney General, praising the club’s positions in this regard, calling on all judges and prosecutors in all southern governorates not to deal with it.
The meeting discussed a number of developments and effective issues in the southern arena, in addition to a number of organizational aspects related to the work of the Council’s bodies, as well as the bi-monthly report submitted by the General Secretariat, and the necessary decisions and measures to be taken in their regard.
