President Al-Zoubaidi Receives the Turkish Ambassador

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received on Saturday evening H.E. Mr. Mustafa Bulat, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Yemen.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations that have existed between the two countries and ways to enhance them at various levels, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the political process aimed at ending the war and bringing about peace to the country and the efforts made at the regional and international levels in this direction.

In this respect, President Al-Zoubaidi stressed the importance of the Turkish role in supporting regional and international efforts to reach a comprehensive settlement that seeks radical solutions to the pivotal conflict issues, foremost of which is the cause of the people of the South, as President Al-Zoubaidi highlighted that it will be at the forefront of the political process aimed at durably ending the conflict in the country and building sustainable peace in the entire region.

President Al-Zoubaidi listened to a satisfied explanation from the Turkish ambassador about the overall humanitarian interventions carried out by the Turkish government through its humanitarian charities in the sectors of health, humanitarian relief, and education, appreciating those efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of our people.

The Turkish ambassador reiterated the position of his government in support of the PLC and the legitimate government, and the regional and international efforts made to bring peace in the country, affirming Turkiye’s readiness to play a role in the stages of peacebuilding and reconstruction.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Imad Mohammad, Office Director of the Vice-President of the PLC, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Deputy Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the STC, and from the Turkish side, Mr. Ertugrul Nahri, Deputy Ambassador, and Mr. Ibrahim Al-Qahtani, Secretary of the Ambassador.
