President Al-Zubaidi Arrives in Switzerland to Participate in the WEF

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), arrived on Monday evening in Switzerland at the head of a delegation to participate in the activities of the 54th World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Davos, Switzerland.
President Al-Zubaidi, accompanied by Dr. Waed Badheeb, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation (MPIC), Eng. Mane’a bin Yameen Al-Nahdi, Minister of Electricity, and Mr. Mansour Zaid Haidra, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (PIC), attended the opening of the forum, which kicked off this evening with the participation of more than 2800 personalities, including 60 heads of state and government officials and prominent figures from politicians, businessmen, and economic personalities from different countries of the world.
On the sidelines of the opening of the forum, President Al-Zubaidi held a bilateral meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, focusing on the recent developments in the region, foremost of which is the Houthi escalation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait and its repercussions on the humanitarian situation and its consequences on the political process led by the United Nations to durably end the war and bring about peace in the country.
President Al-Zubaidi is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations and foreign ministers of a number of brotherly and friendly countries on the sidelines of the WEF to highlight the dire humanitarian situation in the country in light of the escalation of Houthi militias in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb.
