President Al-Zubaidi Briefed by Governor of Lahij on Latest Developments in the governorate

The president Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Monday, at the STC’s headquarters in the capital Aden, met major general Ahmed Abdullah Al-Turki, the governor of Lahij governorate
In the meeting which was attended by Security Director of Lahij, major general Saleh Al-Sayed and Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Subaihi, Major Sheikh of Subaihi tribes, the president Al-Zubaidi listened from major general Al-Turki to a satisfied explanation on the general developments and various aspects in Lahij governorate, and highly focused on Subaihi areas.
In the meeting, major general Al-Turki reviewed the immense efforts that have been exerted by all formations of security service in the governorate; foremost of which are Security General and Security Belt Forces in Subaihi sector, praising the high role played by the whole security service to maintain security and stability, and combat insecurities.
The president stressed the importance of maintaining security situation in Subaihi areas; Tor Al-Baha, Ras al-A’arah and Al-Mandab Strait, as the first defense line on the South, against any attempts to target its military and security situations, in addition to its strategic importance of overlooking the vital international shipping lines.
The president noted the need to arrest all law offenders, intensify security patrols in these subaihi areas and Al-Mandab strait, and strengthening joint coordination among the security service to secure main roads, curb smugglers, bandits, raise security vigilance and ensure combat readiness of the military units stationed on the fronts to confront and monitor any hostile attempts.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Kamal Hashri, Office Director of the STC, and Brigadier General Faisal Mohammed Ali, Director of the Political Security Service in Lahj governorate.
