President Al-Zubaidi briefed Eng. Tarmoom on plans and programs of Public Telecommunications Corporation for next phase

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, during his meeting with the Director of the Telecommunications Corporation, Eng. Wael Tarmoum, got briefed on the progress of the Corporation’s work.
President Al-Zubaidi congratulated Eng. Tarmoom on his appointment as Director General of the Telecommunications Corporation, urging a breakthrough in the Corporation’s performance during the coming period.
The two parties touched upon the Corporation’s management plans for the next stage, and its technical, human and technological needs, calling for the exploitation of all available capabilities, and those with experience and competence in order to develop the Corporation’s work and services.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of the communications sector to the Leadership Council as a basic economic pillar and one of the most important tributaries to the state’s public treasury, calling for doubling the speed of transferring the communications system from Sana’a to the capital, Aden, and liberating it from the Iran-backed Houthi militias, who are using it to finance its hostile activities, and as spying and intelligence arm to track down Leaders, activists and the liquidation of journalists.
