President Al-Zubaidi chairs Meeting of Administrative Body of the Assembly

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (LPC), chaired a meeting of the Administrative Body of the National Assembly in the STC in the presence of the Vice President and Chairman of the Assembly, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, and his deputies.

The meeting stood before the steps taken in the process of restructuring the National Assembly, and in this respect, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of renewal in the structure of the Assembly, the selection of well-qualified personalities, and resting on the practice of democratic methods, highlighting that dialogue and democracy are fundamental principles for building the upcoming federal state of the South.

President Al-Zubaidi reiterated the important role that the Assembly represents in the organizational structure of the STC, stressing the importance of the Assembly’s committees carrying out the organizational tasks entrusted to them in monitoring, following up, and supervising in integration with other bodies.

For his part, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik gave a brief explanation of the restructuring procedures in the assembly, what has been accomplished in the restructuring plan, and the criteria adopted in the selection of members in the governorates and districts.

After that, President Al-Zubaidi and his Vice President listened to a range of interventions from the members of the administrative body, which focused on the restructuring process in general and the criteria for selecting its members, in addition to a set of recommendations to develop the work of the Assembly and strengthen its organizational role within the framework of the STC.
