President Al-Zubaidi chairs the periodic meeting of the General Secretariat of the Presidency

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, on Monday, chaired part of the periodic meeting of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council at its headquarters in the capital, Aden.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi listened from the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, and the heads of the Secretariat departments, to a detailed explanation of the activities, implemented assignments, and the plan of workflow in the secretariat for the coming period.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed during the meeting that the current stage requires doubling the efforts made by the departments of the General Secretariat to serve and follow up on the issues and concerns of citizens, praising the efforts made by the departments of the General Secretariat during the last period.

After that, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi chaired the rest of the meeting, in which it reviewed the economic report submitted by the Economic Department, including presentation of a number of economic issues that citizens suffer from in the governorates of the South and the steps taken to confront the collapse of the local currency exchange rate.

The meeting also reviewed a report on the political scene presented by the political department, which previewed the most prominent political issues related to the South, and the regional and international political movements.

The meeting discussed many of the current developments on the southern arena, and put forward proposals and recommendations that would support in achieving the aspirations of the people of the South for a dignified and secure life.

The meeting reviewed report of the activities of the General Secretariat departments during the past week, and also reviewed the minutes of its previous meeting and approved it.
