President Al-Zubaidi discusses with Charge d’Affaires Japanese Ambassador efforts to establish peace and prospects for joint cooperation

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, Mr. Kazuhiro Higashi, Charge d’Affaires Japanese Ambassador to Yemen.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the Japanese Chargé d’Affairs, praising the distinguished bilateral relations between our country and Japan.
President Al-Zubaidi discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs efforts to bring peace to our country, and reviewed with him the latest developments related to the extension of the truce in light of the Houthi militia’s intransigence and rejection of all international initiatives aimed at ending the war, and its return to escalation on various fronts.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi praised the Japanese government’s unlimited support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government of power-sharing, expressing his aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation with Japan at various levels.
During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of Japan’s humanitarian interventions in various development and humanitarian fields in our country, as well as its important role in reconstruction and contribution to reviving the economy and building capacity in the sectors of economy, development and management, calling on the Japanese government to start investment projects in the capital. Aden and the liberated areas.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Japanese Ambassador affirmed his country’s government’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government of power-sharing, praising the great victories achieved by the “Arrows of the East” operation in cleansing the districts of Abyan Governorate from terrorist organizations.
The Chargé d’Affairs of the Japanese Ambassador noted the willingness of the Government of Japan to enhance aspects of support to our country at the development and humanitarian levels, stressing the launch of a number of investment projects in our country, most notably the project to rehabilitate the port of Aden through the UNDP and to provide logistical support, training and qualification in service and administrative aspects of the government cadre in our country.
