President Al-Zubaidi discusses with the French ambassador aspects of joint cooperation

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, received on Tuesday, Mr. Jean-Marie Safa, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Yemen.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between our country and France, and discussed ways and mechanisms to enhance aspects of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries, and developments in the political and humanitarian situation in our country in light of the regional and international political movement to end the war and establish peace in the region.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi highly valued the great humanitarian support provided by the French government to alleviate the suffering on our people caused by the war, expressing his confidence in intensifying French support for the power-sharing government to assist it in its endeavors to stop the economic deterioration in the country.
President Al-Zubaidi got briefed by the French ambassador on the results of his visits and the delegation that accompanied him from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Aden the capital, and the governorates of Hadramout and Lahj, and the projects announced by the delegation to support young entrepreneurs, support fishermen in Hadramout, and other projects sponsored by the French government in our country.
The meeting touched on the efforts to combat terrorism led by the southern armed forces in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa, with the support of the brothers in the United Arab Emirates, and the results achieved by the operation Arrows of the East in expelling terrorist elements from their main strongholds in Abyan governorate.
For his part, the French ambassador renewed the position of his country’s government in support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government’s efforts to continue economic reforms to preserve the minimum means of livelihood for citizens in light of the difficult circumstances our country is going through, expressing his admiration for the state of security that he and his accompanying delegation experienced during his recent visit to Aden the capital, Hadramout, and Lahj.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Judy, the military attache at the French embassy, and Hussein Murshid, the political advisor at the embassy. On the part of the Presidential Leadership Council, the meeting was attended by Emad Mohammed, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the Leadership Council, and Saleh Al-Quaiti, Advisor to the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.
