President Al-Zubaidi Emphasizes Collaborative Efforts to Re-operate Aden Refinery

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), highlighted the vitality of collaborative efforts to re-operate the Aden refinery as part of a matrix of strategic solutions to provide fuel for power plants and supply the local market with oil derivatives. This came during his meeting today, Tuesday, with Eng. Ahmed Musaed, Executive Director of Aden Refinery.
President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Eng. Musaed on the progress of work at the refinery, the level of achievement in its rehabilitation, the completion of maintenance of its own power plant, and the efforts of the refinery board of directors (BOD) to follow up on the refinery’s dues from government institutions to re-operate it as a free zone.
For his part, the Executive Director of Aden Refinery appreciated the great efforts being made by President Al-Zubaidi to regain the role of the refinery as a pioneering national economic facility as it has been in the past, affirming that the refinery BOD will spare no effort to complete maintenance work and follow up with relevant government authorities to return the refinery to service as soon as possible.
