President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed by Minister of PIC on the ongoing Projects in Various Sectors

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the president of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Sunday, at his office, in the STC’s headquarters, in the capital Aden, met with Dr. Waed Badheeb, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation in the power-sharing government.

President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Minister Badheeb on the workflow in the ministry and its exerted efforts in coordinating with international organizations, consolidating cooperation relations, and building relationships with new parties to provide more financial and technical support for development projects.

President Al-Zubaidi, too, listened from Minister Badheeb to a brief explanation of the projects implemented by the Arab Fund for Development, a number of international organizations and supportive parties to maintain and repair roads, and the rehabilitation of infrastructure for educational and academic institutions, in addition to electricity, and health in the capital, Aden and the liberated governorates, and the most prominent difficulties they have encountered and ways that could contribute to solve such difficulties.

The president highlighted the important role played by the Ministry of Planning in setting medium and long-term plans, comprehensive development programs, and different development projects to represent a roadmap for the power-sharing government, in a way that contributes to lifting the country from its current situation, emphasizing the importance of intensifying communication with international organizations to urgently shift and re-open the main offices in the capital Aden, as the country’s capital and seat of internationally recognized legitimate government.

The president reiterated his call to the officials of the ministry to raise the degree of coordination with the local authorities and the security services to facilitate the movement of the staffs and teams of organizations, and international missions in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the governorates, which are in dire need of the urgent interventions provided by those organizations.
