President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Development Telecommunication Programs

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Saturday, with Eng. Wael Mahmood Mohammed Tarmoum, general manager of the Public Telecommunication Corporation.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to Eng. Wael Tarmoum, who gave a satisfied explanation of the Corporation’s programs and plans to develop the telecommunications sector and improve its services provided to the public.

The president was also briefed by Eng. Tarmoum on the steps that have been taken for the transfer of the communications system from Sana’a to the Capital, Aden, to prevent the Houthi militia from controlling this vital economic and revenue sector.

President Al-Zubaidi asserted his support for the management of the Corporation in implementing its developmental programs and its steps to liberate the communications system from the grip of the Houthi militia, which exploits the large revenues of this sector to finance its hostile military activities.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Emad Mohammed, Office Head of the Vice President of the PLC.
