President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Plans and Mechanisms of NSMA for Expanding Activities

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), was briefed on the plans and programs of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA) to expand its activities and work mechanisms in the capital, Aden, and other governorates of the South during his meeting today, Sunday, with Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, head of NSMA, and his deputy, Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafe’y.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed during the meeting, which was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Al-Naqeeb, the official spokesman of the Southern Armed Forces, the importance of the great role of the NSMA in supervising and following up on the performance of the media sectors and preparing strategic plans and media orientations for the stage.
The president underscored the importance of activating the role of external media and the process of communication and coordination with regional and international media to organize visits for media delegations to convey an image that reflects the true reality on the ground in a professional and objective manner.
The president also praised the efforts exerted by NSMA to organize the work of local and foreign media outlets operating in the capital, Aden, and to provide them with all required facilities to properly and effectively perform their media tasks.
To the end of the meeting, Mr. Al-Awlaqi highly valued the great support provided by President Al-Zubaidi to the headship of NSMA and the sectors under its supervision to efficiently and effectively carry out the entrusted tasks, affirming the progress of NSMA in accordance with the directives of the leadership of the STC to open up to all, as per the Council’s crystalized vision and deeply-rooted principles, as an umbrella for all Southerners despite their various orientations and affiliations.
