President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Service, Security, and Military Conditions in Abyan and Al-Dhale’a Governorates

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Deputy Head of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Saturday, with Major General Abu Bakr Hussein Salem and Major General Ali Maqbel Saleh, Governors of Abyan and Al Dhale’a Governorates.

During the meeting, the president was briefed on a detailed report outlining the current conditions in Abyan and Al-Dhale’a, their respective districts, the performance of local authorities and service bodies, and the challenges impeding progress across various sectors.

The latest security and military developments along the border fronts were also discussed, amid ongoing Houthi assaults and attempted incursions targeting the security and stability of the two governorates, highlighting the heroic role of the Southern armed forces in countering these threats.

President Al-Zubaidi praised the legendary resilience and daily heroics of the Southern armed forces across various fronts, reaffirming that their ultimate sacrifices serve as an impenetrable shield against the terrorist Houthi attacks aimed at undermining security and stability in the South. In this context, his Excellency stressed the importance of strengthening combat readiness and coordination among military and security units to confront any potential escalation.

On the service and development sides, the President emphasized the need to redouble efforts to improve the conditions in the governorates within the available resources, calling for enhancing the level of basic services provided to citizens, which would help alleviate their suffering amid the challenging economic and living conditions currently facing the country.

Furthermore, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination with international organizations operating in the two governorates to ensure the implementation of developmental projects that contribute to improving infrastructure and supporting service sectors tied to citizens’ livelihoods, including health, education, water, and electricity.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Imad Mohammed, office director of the Vice President of the PLC.
