President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Workflow at Central Bank Branch in Almahra

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (LPC), met on Sunday with Mr. Jumaan Awad Jumaan, Director General of the Central Bank Branch of Almahra Governorate.
President Al-Zubaidi listened to a brief explanation from Mr. Jumaan about the workflow at the central bank in Almahra and the efforts being made by the bank’s management to activate the monetary policy cycle in the banking system of the governorate, in addition to the challenges that may hinder the work of certain sectors of the bank.
The president underscored the importance of properly assuming full responsibility for managing the financial aspects of the governorate, providing it with well-qualified staff and competencies, and using modern technological systems to upgrade the bank’s work and speed up the completion of banking transactions for account holders and beneficiaries.
To the end of the meeting, the president stressed the importance of the central bank strengthening its supervisory role over commercial banks and exchange companies to curb illegal speculation in the foreign exchange market, which negatively affects the local currency exchange rate.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Tariq Abdullah Belhaf, Director of Supervision for the Commercial Bank at the Central Bank of Al-Mahrah Branch, and Mr. Emad Mohammed, Office Head of the Vice President of the PLC.
