President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Workflow in the Ministry of Education

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Tuesday, with Mr.Tariq Al-Akbari, Minister of Education.

President Zubidi was briefed by Minister Al-Akbari on the workflow in the ministry and the ongoing preparations to conclude the schooling year and the public secondary certificate examinations for the science and art sections for the years 2023–2024.

President Zubidi also listened to Minister Al-Akbari’s explanation of the measures that have been taken in the administrative reform process in the ministry, the improvement of teachers’ conditions, the efforts of the ministry’s leadership to rehabilitate its facilities and develop the education sector, its efforts to provide school books, and the plans and programs implemented by the ministry to well-qualify the teaching staff and promote their capabilities and skills.

President Zubidi stressed the importance of exerting all efforts to create an appropriate environment that helps students achieve high success and to work with international organizations in the field of education to develop the education sector and support its employees to be able to continue their enlightening contributions under the current circumstances.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the STC.
